Sedum Matrona The Sedum 'Matrona'Ö is one of the finest of all upright sedums in its family. Its sturdy, dark burgundy stems look wonderful with its gray green leaves, edged with a deep rose color. The umbrella-like flower heads are maroon to pale pink. Blooming from August to September, it has a plant height of 18'¥ and a spread of 12'¥. It will tolerate most soil types and is drought resistant. 'Matrona'Ö is a great choice for beds and borders and excellent as cut flowers. It is also a great butterfly and bee attractor and is disease resistant.

Although the blooms will last only for one day, there are many blooms on strong stems that rise above tall grassy foliage, (remove in late fall). Dianthus will bloom from mid summer to early fall. In order for a longer bloom time, deadhead the blooms continuously throughout the summer.
