Shrubs Viburnum - Common Snowball Bush
Viburnum Common Snowball Bush The Common Snowball Bush, Viburnum opulus 'roseum', produces white flowers in late spring. It is a deciduous thicket-forming Old World shrub. In the fall, the leaves turn a wonderful burgundy reddish-purple. About the same time, the bright red, attractive berries ripen, and persist on the plant throughout the winter. Birds, particularly Cedar Waxwings, are very fond of the berries, and can often be found snacking during the winter. Have a snowball fight in June! Kids and adults alike love this rounded plant with masses of flowers. Grows best in full sun to partial shade.

Dogwood Redosier The Redosier Dogwood, Cornus sericea, is a freely spreading shrub with many stems, 3-18' tall; branching is opposite, young stems (and most old ones) often bright, smooth, shiny red. Leaves are opposite, deciduous, oval 5-10 cm long. ; flowers are numerous in dense flat-topped clusters. Fruits are white, berry-like drupes, 7-9 mm long. This plant brightens up a winter landscape. Shade tolerant; provides cover and food for wildlife and birds.
Dogwood Isanti The Dogwood 'Isanti', Cornus sericea 'Isanti', is a fine-twigged Dogwood with red bark. White flowers in late spring are followed by abundant white fruit. Mounding plants grow 4 to 5 feet tall and spreading 4 to 8 feet. Very adaptable and will thrive in sun or partial shade. Requires a soil with adequate moisture, otherwise adaptable as it tolerates wet sites.

Gold Drop Potentilla is a deciduous shrub that does best in full sun and will flower all summer if trimmed in late June or July along with fertilizer and water. The flowers are borne atop the tips of the new growth. Potentilla also serves as a butterfly nectar source and a host for butterfly larvae. It has a attractive green, copper fall color.
Potentilla Jackman This deciduous shrub has deep green leaves that make a beatiful backgound for the deep yellow flowers. They are very hardy and popular.
